Introduction

KIOSK or Xiaomaibu (mandarin), literally ‘small selling place’ is a small unit, sometimes mobile, that sells daily life necessities.

kioskxiaomaibu adapts the traditional content of kiosk by taking advantage of current artistic, technological and ethical possibilities. Like a Cuckoo it lays its eggs in carefully selected nests (with prior assent of the nest keeper) and in the process establishes a worldwide network of kiosks. These kiosks are linked via video streaming and skype.

Pianissimo: sound, visual, performance, theatre, objects and most importantly stories.
